Unfortunately due to unexpected events, both the lead organisers of the WordPress Meetup Chiang Mai are stepping down and can no longer hold events.

The event held on Saturday 1st November 2025 was the last scheduled event.

The Meetup has grown to a nice community of people over the last 18 months with lots of collective knowledge in the group, and a mixture of Thai and foreign attendees.

WordPress Chiang Mai now needs new leaders/organisers to step up and lead the event going forward.

• We already have a good venue secured, and paid for by WordPress.org (renews twice a year).
• We have a Meetup.com group paid for and owned as part of WordPress.org, without group having nearly 1,000 members.
• We have a free website and domain sponsored by WordPress.com.
• We have a private Facebook Community Group with over 600 members

James, the previous organiser, is able to help do a comprehensive handover and help onboard the new organiser.
