We have a new host for WordPress Chiang Mai, continuing our WordPress meetups in Northern Thailand.
James has officially handed over the “keys” to Jef who will be running the sessions every month starting from Saturday December 6th.

So, who is Jef?
Jef is a digital-nomad and messaging strategist who’s been wandering, cycling, backpacking and motorbiking around Asia for 11+ years.
He’s basically the spiritual heir to Gary Halbert, but with fewer letters mailed and more time spent imagining viral TikTok fame.
Now, somehow, he’s the new organizer for WordPress Chiang Mai—ready to hang with the cool cats, wrangle plugins, and pretend he knows what he’s doing for the community.
Wow, thanks ChatGPT, but, I’ll take it from here…
Hello WPCNX-ers!
After attending WCEH2025 in October, I felt like it was due time to give back to the community that has powered my digital nomadic life for the past 7 years.
I’ll share my story with you when we’re together for our first meetup and instead turn the focus to you:
- How do you use WordPress to achieve your goals?
- What’s getting in your way?
- What fires are you currently putting out?
More specifically:
- What’s harder than it should be in your day-to-day WordPress work?
- How do you balance building for clients with staying creative?
- Are you enjoying SEO victories or ready to throw in the towel and give up?
- What plugin, workflow, or system problem has changed your life for the better?
- How do you handle scope creep without losing your mind?
- What topic or skill do you want to see in upcoming meetups?
And, before you go, I want you to know:
I am not a WordPress developer.
Yes, its true.
I have no idea how to write a single line of PHP code.
Nor do I know what CLI stands for or what people mean when they mention bash commands and cron jobs.
Instead, what I do know is that WordPress is a gamechanger for those who are daring enough to boot up a new site and ship your ideas to the world.
That’s all for now.
See you Saturday! 👋
