^ Psst… this is the new time to read block from WordPress 6.9 and below are some of the other cool features released on December 2, 2025!
Block Notes

How to use the Block Notes in WordPress 6.9:
- Select any block
- Click on the vertical ellipses ⋮
- Click on “add note 🗪”
- Write a note like:
- feedback
- instructions
- questions for collaborators
- reminders for yourself
- “rewrite this later”
- “don’t delete — client approval pending”
- Hit Enter to save.
Once your note is made, you can also:
- Reply to a note (like comments in Google Docs).
- Mark as resolved — this hides it but keeps a history.
This can be extremely useful in team workflows but it has some limitations. During my testing, I didn’t receive an email notification when a new note was made, nor can you @TAG collaborators to bring items to attention.

Within the notes panel, you can:
- Jump to any note in the page/post
- Filter by resolved vs active
- See who left what (if multiple users)
⚠️ A Friendly Remember: WordPress Notes are strictly editorial. Even hidden blocks with Notes won’t leak to the published site. So if you’re talking smack about a client—which I do not recommend doing—your comments will be hidden so long as they don’t have the proper user access to see them.
Hidden Blocks
Not ready to publish a segment of your post/page? Well, now you can hide it!

To hide / show block:
- Click on the block
- Click on the vertical ellipses ⋮
- Click on hide (or show, if its already hidden!)
Easy, right?
After a block is hidden, you’ll need to use the navigation then click on the vertical elipses to “show” the hidden block:

Math Feature

Example:
| Name | Raw Formula | /Math Block Output |
|---|---|---|
| Einstein’s Mass–Energy Equation | E=mc^2 | |
| Pythagorean Theorem | a^2 + b^2 = c^2 | |
| Schrödinger Equation | i\hbar \frac{\partial}{\partial} \Psi(x,t) = -\frac{\hbar^2}{2m} \frac{\partial^2 \Psi(x,t)}{\partial x^2} + V(x)\Psi(x,t) |

Accordion Block

Oh my goodness, you opened me! I wasn’t ready for that. Please look away while I pull up my pants.
Pretty self-explanatory, right?

Just type a back slash then start typing “accordion” to find it!
Stretchy Paragraph Block
I think the best way to explain this is with a an example, so…
This is an example of Stretchy Paragraph Block!
And so is this.
And this.
O.M.G! This one too! 🤯
🥱 TL;DR – The Stretchy Paragraph Block let’s you add text that’ll take up the full width of your web page. So, no matter how many words you use, it’ll stretch across and fill up the space.
